1. Who these terms are with

CalcBooth (www.calcbooth.com, the “Site”) is operated by Honeygoat GmbH, Kägenstrasse 21, 4153 Reinach BL, Switzerland, commercial register CH-270-4005459-5 (“we”, “us”, “our”). Full operator details are on our legal notice page.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms of Use, our privacy policy, our disclaimer and our affiliate disclosure, which are incorporated here by reference. If you disagree with any part of them, please stop using the Site.

3. Who may use the Site

The Site is intended for users aged 18 or over, or for minors with the involvement of a parent or guardian. It is directed at a general audience in the United States and is not designed for children under 13. See our privacy policy for how we handle this.

4. Permitted use

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Site for your own personal or internal business project planning. You agree to use it lawfully, and specifically you agree to refrain from:

• copying, scraping, mirroring or republishing substantial parts of the Site or its calculator logic;
• using automated systems that place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
• reverse engineering, or attempting to derive the source of, any part of the Site beyond what applicable law permits;
• removing or obscuring copyright, advertising labels or attribution notices;
• using the Site to build a competing product or dataset;
• interfering with the security or integrity of the Site or any connected network.

We may suspend or restrict access where use breaches these terms or threatens the operation of the Site.

5. The calculators are estimates

Every calculator on the Site produces a planning estimate based on the measurements you enter and on standard trade conventions, average coverage rates and typical regional cost ranges. Results are for general information. They are not a quote, a bid, an engineering calculation, a code compliance check, or professional advice of any kind, and they create no professional relationship between you and us.

Before you buy materials, sign a contract or begin work, verify quantities and costs with a licensed contractor, your material supplier and your local building department. The full scope of this limitation is set out in our disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

6. No warranty

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result will meet your requirements or match the actual quantity or price for your project.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither Honeygoat GmbH nor its directors, employees or contractors shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, wasted materials, project delays, loss of data or loss of goodwill, arising out of or connected with your use of the Site or your reliance on any result, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that applicable law prohibits us from limiting.

8. Your responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for the measurements you enter, for how you apply a result, and for the safety and legality of any work you carry out. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Honeygoat GmbH against third-party claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms or from your unlawful use of the Site.

9. Intellectual property

The Site, its calculator logic, text, layouts, design system, graphics, logos and the CalcBooth name are owned by Honeygoat GmbH or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. These terms grant you a licence to use the Site; they transfer no ownership. Short quotations with a clear, visible link back to the source page are permitted. Anything further requires our prior written permission — write to info@calcbooth.com.

If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice with the details of the work, the URL concerned and your contact information to info@calcbooth.com. We review every notice and remove infringing material where a claim is substantiated.

10. Advertising, affiliate links and third-party sites

The Site carries advertising and affiliate links, which are labelled as such. When you follow an external link you leave CalcBooth and the destination site's own terms and privacy policy apply. We exercise no control over third-party content, pricing, availability, service quality or contractor performance, and we are not a party to any contract you enter into with a retailer, marketplace or contractor. 11. Availability and changes to the Site

We may add, change, suspend or withdraw calculators, content or features at any time, and we may update cost ranges and material assumptions as prices and products change. We aim to keep the Site available continuously and ask for your understanding when maintenance or a technical fault interrupts access.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The version published on this page is the one in force, and the date below shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the substantive law of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Reinach BL, Switzerland, the registered seat of Honeygoat GmbH.

If you use the Site as a consumer, this choice of law leaves intact the mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the law of your country or state of residence, and you keep the right to bring proceedings before the courts that are competent for you there.

14. Severability and entire agreement

Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the remaining provisions stay fully effective, and the invalid provision is replaced by the valid one that comes closest to its economic purpose. These terms, together with the documents referenced in section 2, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
